Pumpkin Pup Pockets

Ingredients:

1 C. pure pumpkin puree
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/3 C. water
3 C. flour
1 tbsp. dry milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 C. cornmeal
2/3 C. oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. allspice

 Directions:

 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. In an electric mixer, combine pumpkin and olive oil.

 3. Once combine, gradually add the flour.  As the batter thickens, slowly stream in the water (you may not need it all depending on how thick the batter ends up)

4. Add the dry milk, baking powder, cornmeal, and oats to mixture.  Use additional water if batter begins to crumble.

 5. Add in the spices (cinnamon, ginger, and allspice).  You will know if your mixture it ready when the batter pulls away from the sides of the bowl and it collects on the paddle.

6.  Place half of the prepared batter on a lightly floured surface.  Roll dough out to about a 1/4" thickness.

7.  Using a pizza cutter, trim dough into small (1.5"x1") rectangles.

8. Arrange on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes.

9. Place on cooling rack, cool, and enjoy!

My little pumpkin sure did!

Bruiser sure did....

Hello :)

My favorite hobbies are: photography, baking, Pilates training, and being a bulldog mom.  Which of these things just does not belong?   Sampling my baked goods while completing The Hundred was not "working out" for me!  So, why not bake for my dog and photograph it instead!

This is how Pup Crumbs began.  My bulldog Bruiser is loving my new hobby.  He now samples my pup friendly baking, and I can photograph it while continuing to work on my health.  What a perfect combination!

Follow me on my journey as I create different dog friendly treats that any pup will love.  Hopefully so much that only crumbs will remain :)
